Meet Coach Eddie
I grew up poor, and sports kept me out of trouble and gave me an environment that pushed me to keep growing. I played my whole life — basketball, football, track, and BJJ — on Adidas- and Nike-sponsored teams, alongside guys who went on to play professionally. I was recruited out of high school, but back then I was making too many bad decisions to take it further.
In 2015 I tore my Achilles. I made a full recovery — then climbed all the way up to 284 pounds. I lost over 100 of them and got back down to a healthy 180, and I rebuilt my body and my discipline from the ground up.
What turned my life around wasn’t just training. We always believed in God and Jesus, but I didn’t always live that way. Getting closer to Him — reading my Bible, praying, going to church, and living in the Holy Spirit instead of just doing what I wanted — made me a better man, a better father, and a better husband. That’s what I want to share with you.
Faith & Why I Coach
Being healthy and being surrounded by faith-driven people sharpens all of us — iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). I’ll talk about my faith and my struggles, share scripture, and invite you to church or events along the way. None of it is ever forced, and everyone is welcome no matter where you are in your walk. My goal is simple: help kids and adults get healthy, become better leaders, stay out of trouble, and grow closer to God.

How I Coach
Every athlete is different, so every plan is personalized. We focus on getting bigger, faster, stronger, and more coordinated — with sport-specific skills mixed in — through 1-on-1 sessions or small-group training at the park. Character and faith are woven into the work, and we track your progress over time so you can actually see the growth.
