Refunds & Make-Ups

We know family schedules change. This page explains how refunds, credits, and make-ups work for training at Grit + Grace Sports Academy.

At a Glance

  • Drop-ins: Refundable up to 24 hours before the scheduled session time.
  • Packs (4-pack, 8-pack): Non-refundable after use begins, but fully transferable within the same household.
  • Make-ups: Unused credits can be rolled to a future date within the current season, subject to availability.
  • Weather / coach cancellations: If we cancel, you keep your credit and may move it to another date.

These policies apply to sessions purchased through our website and processed securely via Stripe. Additional details and legal terms are outlined in our Waiver & Policies.

Drop-In Sessions

  • Drop-ins may be refunded or credited if you cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled session time.
  • To cancel, reply to your confirmation email or use the contact form with the athlete’s name, session date, and time.
  • Inside 24 hours, drop-ins are normally treated as used, except in cases of illness or emergencies at our discretion.

For first-time athletes using the free trial, no payment is processed and no refund is necessary if you can’t attend.

Packs (4-Pack & 8-Pack)

  • Packs are considered activated at the time of purchase.
  • Once your first session from a pack is used, the pack is generally non-refundable.
  • Unused sessions from an active pack may be:
    • Rolled to later dates within the current season, and
    • Transferred to siblings or athletes in the same household at no extra charge.
  • If a long-term injury or relocation prevents continued use, contact us and we will review on a case-by-case basis.

Our goal is to be fair to families while still honoring the court space, staffing, and costs reserved for your athlete.

Cancellations, No-Shows & Make-Ups

  • 24-hour window: Please cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled session so we can offer the spot to another athlete.
  • No-shows: If an athlete does not attend and no notice is given, the session is normally treated as used.
  • Illness or emergencies: If your athlete is sick or there is an unexpected family emergency, contact us as soon as possible.
    We may convert the missed session into a make-up credit at our discretion.
  • Make-up scheduling: Make-up sessions are subject to available space in future sessions and must be used within the current season or stated program window.

Weather, Facility & Coach Cancellations

  • If Grit + Grace must cancel or significantly shorten a session due to weather, facility issues, or coach availability, your session credit will not be lost.
  • You may:
    • Move the credit to another available date, or
    • Request a refund for that individual session if you cannot attend any reasonable alternatives.
  • We will communicate cancellations via email and/or text using the contact details provided during registration.

Payments, Processing & Stripe

  • All online payments are processed securely through Stripe on our behalf.
  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout (for example, the same card or digital wallet).
  • Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
  • We do not store full card numbers on our systems; payment data is handled by Stripe in line with industry security standards.

How to Request a Refund or Credit

To help us review your request quickly, please include as much detail as you can.

  • Email hello@gritandgracesports.com or use the contact form.
  • Share the athlete’s full name and the email address used at checkout.
  • Include the session date(s) and time(s) and whether you prefer a refund or credit/make-up.
  • Briefly describe the reason (schedule change, illness, weather, etc.).

Refunds and credits are reviewed in line with the guidelines on this page and any additional terms in our Waiver & Policies. We may make reasonable exceptions in special situations to support families and athletes.

Policy Updates

Grit + Grace Sports Academy may update these refund and make-up policies from time to time to reflect changes in facility access, scheduling, or applicable laws. When we update this page, the “Last updated” date will change below.
